Yin Yoga
This is a cooling, meditative style of yoga, which improves flexibility and promotes the flow of energy throughout the body. Deeply held postures are used to increase suppleness in the hips, spine, lower back and knees, and to relieve feelings of tension. The perfect way to stretch and unwind after a long journey, yin yoga will calm the mind and soothe the soul.
Yin sessions will begin with a simple guided meditation to bring awareness to the body, breath and mind. We will then move through a sequence of longer-held postures altern-ated with shorter rest poses, and end with a guided relaxation to allow the body to relax deeply with awareness, and to fully absorb the benefits of the practice.

Hatha yoga
This is an active style of yoga that provides a complete workout for the mind and body, including the internal organs. Morning sequences will provide an invigorating start to the day, with postures chosen to boost energy, improve mental focus, motivation and concentration, and to develop strength, balance and flexibility. Evening yoga sequences are designed to open and extend the front and back of the body, to free stress, and aid digestion and sleep.
We will begin with a short meditation to bring us to the present moment through awareness of the breath. The physical practice will then start with a gentle flowing sequence of postures to warm the body and improve the flow of energy, before moving onto slow, controlled poses in lying, seated and standing positions. We will end with a guided relaxation to allow the body to relax deeply with awareness, and to fully absorb the benefits of the practice
